I believe that collaborative work, for profit and ‘non profit’, is the only way to assure that community leaders are taken care of and supported. not for profit work is always on the back of devoted community leaders and often at the expense of their health and wellbeing.
Phoenix Midwife has always been, and continues to be, a not for profit “for profit” community based midwifery practice.
Indigenous Birth is the fiscally sponsored arm of Phoenix Midwife, collaborating with Phoenix Allies for Community Health and Elephant Circle (our fiscal sponsor) for a larger reach, and community involvement and oversight.
