Amy Chen is a Senior Attorney in the National Health Law Program's Los Angeles offices. Amy's work focuses on reproductive health and Medicaid issues, both in California and nationally.
Before joining the National Health Law Program, Amy worked at Bay Area Legal Aid in Oakland, California where she provided direct legal services to individuals across the San Francisco Bay Area, and advocated on issues such as health care reform, Medi-Cal, and private health insurance. Amy also helped launch the Bay Area Legal Aid Health Consumer Center, where she was the Regional Coordinator for health work.
During law school, Amy summered at the Brennan Center for Justice in New York City and the Legal Aid Society - Employment Law Center in San Francisco.
Amy Received her J.D from Harvard Law School, where she was Co-Editor in Chief of the Harvard Human Rights Journal.
