Stephanie Guillermina Castro, known as Castro among her peers, is a first-generation Queer woman of South American Indigenous descent. She is deeply passionate about creative storytelling, community organizing, connecting with and protecting the land & water and providing support to others through birth work and various healing and artistic modalities. As a multidisciplinary artist, she is guided by her ancestors in the practice of painting, graphic art, performance, poetry, and event curation. Castro spent much of her upbringing in her parents' homelands of Colombia and Chile. Her connection to and access to her ancestral lands and culture have significantly influenced her perspective on the human experience and her role as a Condor on Eagle land. Through her work she expresses her deepest gratitude towards her ancestors, who guide and protect her.
